Slowdown
As you might gather, it’s been an incredibly slow past week at work, with only the barest trickle of jobs coming in on Friday and Saturday. Hence the massive uploading of my old record reviews to this site (though there’s still a huge backlog to deal with). I hope they’re still interesting reading even if the albums have now receded a little into the past. I have tried to come up with brief titles for them, in the spirit of Mark Miller’s retitlings of his newspaper pieces in A Certain Respect for Tradition.
More music-related things: I’m conducting a blindfold test for the Organissimo website in October. This is a regular feature on the site where one poster sends a music compilation (either MP3s or a CDR) to participants & there’s an open discussion about the tracks. If any readers of this blog want to hear the CDR I put together, or participate in the test, then drop me a line on this blog or at Organissimo (the signup thread is here).
Past midnight, & it’s kind of weird to post this & see “September 11″ flash up on the screen. Six years.
